Our Switch Kit includes everything you need to help you make a smooth transition to FNB Central Alabama. In just four easy steps, you can be on your way to enjoying all the advantages of a FNB of Central Alabama checking account!

Step 1: Visit any FNB of Central Alabama location to open your new checking account. Click here to find the FNB of Central Alabama location most convenient for you. Please bring a current ID and your initial deposit.

Step 2: Stop using your previous account. Be sure to leave sufficient funds to cover outstanding checks or debit card transactions. In the meantime, destroy any unused checks and deposit slips, as well as your ATM/debit card.

Step 3: Using the Direct Deposit Change Form and Automatic Payment Form, move your direct deposit(s) and any automatic payments or withdrawals to FNB of Central Alabama. Our helpful Account Activity Checklist will help you with this process.

Gather all information on companies that make electronic withdrawals from your account or Direct Deposits to your account. This includes automatic debits (ACH) or automatic charges to your debit card. Common uses of automatic debits include rent/mortgage, utilities, phone and cable bills. Direct Deposits include payroll, taxes, retirement and pension plan accounts, or expense reimbursements. Social Security customers need to call the Social Security Administration at 800-772-1213 or go to www.ssa.gov. If you have Direct Deposits through the military, visit myPay.

Electronic Payments (Online Bill Pay) – If you use online bill pay service at your previous financial institution, be sure to cancel each payee and add them to your FNB of Central Alabama online bill pay service Bill Pay through Internet Banking.

Step 4: To close your old account, simply mail the Old Account Closing Form directly to your previous bank, If there is a balance in that account, they will mail you a check.
